2022 SCTP Nationals Results
Eleven Kansas City Crushers athletes recently competed in the SCTP Nationals
This event, which had one of the largest turnouts, was held July 4th through July 15th at the Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio.
The first event was the International Skeet competition that took place July 4th through the 6th. The Kansas City Crushers athletes that participated was Zach Hinze and Emersyn Berck. Zach Hinze placed third Overall and first place in Men's Senior Division. Emersyn Berck placed fourth in the Lady Division and second in Ladies Collegiate. Emersyn's placing in the final earned her a spot on the 2022 SCTP International Team. This will be her second year on the team.
The next event was the International Bunker Trap competition that took place July 7th through the 10th. Mason Pillard and Zach Hinze represented the Kansas City Crushers. Zach ended up just one place off wining a medal.
The third event was the American disciplines that were held during July 11th through the 15th. This event covered Skeet, 5-Stand, Sporting Clays, Trap Singles, Doubles, and Handicap, and Skeet Doubles. Emersyn Berck, John Duld, Maddie Freeman, Mark Freeman, Devon Harris, Zach Hinze, Nate Lowen, Mason Pillard, Ryan Powell, Chris Sternecker, and Bradley Tullock represented the Kansas City Crushers.
The competition was tough and several athletes shot their personal bests. Mason Pillard took first place in Junior Varsity for Skeet. Zach Hinze placed third in Junior Varsity for Skeet. Zach Hinze placed fourth in Junior Varsity Sporting Clays and second place in Jr. Varsity Doubles Trap.
