2024 AIM Grand American Nationals

Held in conjunction with the World Trapshooting Championship, THE GRAND AMERICAN, the AIM Grand Championships will begin with the AIM National Youth Skeet Championship and AIM National Youth Sporting Clays Championship. The event will then continue with the AIM Individual Handicap Championship and the AIM Individual Doubles Championship. Additional games will be held between Thursday and Sunday, so check out the event program for more details.

The AIM Individual and Team Singles Championship will be held on Monday and Tuesday (100 Singles each day). High-All-Around will be determined by individual Singles classification. Squads competing in the AIM Grand Championships for team trophies are encouraged to be comprised of local shooters from the same club, school, organization, or group.

The schedule is TBD, however it typically is as follows:

• Thursday:  100 Sporting Clays
• Friday:  100 Sporting Clays and 100 Single Skeet Targets
• Saturday:  100 Trap Handicap targets and 100 Double Targets
• Sunday:  100 Single Trap Targets
• Monday:  100 Single Trap Targets

If there is ever a national event to go to, THIS IS IT!! Really a lot of fun for all level of shooters. You will stay busy all day with Event shooting, fun shooting games, and a vendor row filled with all your favorite shops. Awards are at the end of each day and the Crushers have done very well over the years bringing home both individual and team awards.

Bring your own ammo, or there will be plenty of ammo for sale at the event. Plan accordingly for food, drinks, and the weather. There are plenty of food and drink vendors there as well but it is always good to plan for additional snacks and drinks when you’re shooting.

A golf cart is a must for this event to get from one event to the next. It’s a very large complex and not walkable from one event to the next. You will need to call ahead to have a golf cart available.

Sparta Illinois has a Holiday Inn Express for lodging. They do have a good BBQ restaurant, small cafe, McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, and Walmart for amenities.

Some will stay in O’Fallon, Illinois about 40-50 minutes from Sparta. Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and Drury Inn. All your amenities, and restaurants are by the hotels.
