Results from the 2023 SCTP National Championships

Nine Kansas City Crusher athletes recently competed in the 2023 SCTP National Championships.

This event was held Monday, July 10th through Friday, July 14th at Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio. This is a week long shoot with hundreds of other athletes and teams from across the country. There were several events including a Make-A-Break Team Event, 5-Stand (100 targets), Skeet (200 targets), Skeet Doubles (100 targets), Sporting Clays (200 targets), Trap Singles (200 targets), Trap Doubles (200 targets), and Trap Handicap (200 targets).

Ashlyn Berck, Trevor Burch, John Duld, Madison Freeman, Devin Harris, Kaela Hinze, Zach Hinze, Mason Pillard, and Brad Tullock competed in these events.

The competition was tough, but our Senior 5-Stand team finished 7th out of 20 teams. The Senior Skeet team finished 7th out of 115 teams. The Senior Double Trap Squad placed 9th out of 72 teams. Zach Hinze 3rd Senior/Varsity in this event. Zach Hinze placed 10th in the Senior Men's High-Over-All.

With over 1200 targets shot per athlete this week the team delivered in all disciplines and had personal bests achieved for most members!

The team looks forward to returning to the Cardinal Center next summer to compete on the big stage again!
