Results from the Cedar Hill Trap Shoot

Nine Kansas City Crusher athletes recently competed in the Cedar Hill Trap Shoot.

This event was held Sunday, June 4th at Cedar Hill Gun Club in Baldwin City, Kansas. There were four events, 100 Trap Singles (two events), 100 Trap Handicap, and 100 Trap Doubles.

Trevor Burch, Luke Cline, John Duld, Jack Karlstrand, Ava Poetter, Dominick Poetter, Holden Staab, Chris Sternecker, and Liam Wallner competed in this event.

Ava Poetter won the Lady division on the first 100 Trap Singles along with shooting her first 25 straight round. Dominick Poetter won the Sub-Junior concurrent class for the second 100 Trap Singles. Dominick also shot a perfect round of 25 in that round. Chris Sternecker won Class D in the second 100 Trap Singles. All of the Crushers shot well and we even had a few new personal bests.

Competitions like this are a great way to build your skills and get noticed by college scouts. The next major event is the 2023 SCTP/AIM Kansas State Youth Trap Championship at Ark Valley Gun Club, in Wichita, KS on Saturday, June 10th.
